Summary
Little Eagles Nest Daycare is currently seeking a caring, energetic, and reliable Toddler Teacher to join our boutique, family-centered early childhood program. This position is for our Ardsley, NY location.
Schedule : Monday–Friday (Full-time or part-time positions available)
About the Role :
The Teacher works closely with a team of other Teachers and Director to support a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. You will assist in daily routines, classroom activities, and transitions, and help ensure each child is engaged, supported, and thriving. You’ll help the Team implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum and build positive relationships with both children and families.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and level of education in the Early Education field.

Duties
Some of the responsibilities you will have include, but are not limited to the following :
Support the team in creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and enriching classroom environmentAssist in daily routines including meals, diapering / toileting, naps, and transitionsParticipate in and lead small group activities, circle time, and outdoor playAssist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.Observe and document children's progress and behavior to support individualized learningCommunicate positively and professionally with families, children, and team membersHelp maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety standardsContribute to a warm, collaborative atmosphere where children feel secure and valuedMaintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.Requirements
Experience with toddlers requiredExperience in a daycare or preschool setting requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCurrently enrolled in or completed Early Childhood Education coursework is a plusMust be eligible to work in the U.S.Must pass a full background check and health screening (including TB test)Infant / Child CPR and First Aid certification (can also be obtained after hiring)High energy and a true love for working with young childrenAbility to work well with others in a collaborative, team-based settingStrong understanding of child development and early learning principlesExcellent oral and written communication skillsBasic computer and smart phone / tablet skills for documentation and communicationStrong organizational and interpersonal skillsNice To Haves
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related fieldPrior experience working in a licensed group family daycare or Reggio / Montessori-inspired settingFamiliarity with Brightwheel or other childcare documentation softwareBilingual (especially in French or Spanish)Familiarity with Quality Stars NY standardsExperience working with infants and toddlers in mixed-age classroomsCreativity in planning arts, nature-based, or sensory learning activitiesInterest in healthy eating, gardening, or sustainability educationExperience supporting children with special needs or working alongside therapistsBenefits
