DBA SQL Server

Job Description

ITTConnect is seeking an Senior  DBA expert in SQL Server   for a  direct-hire full time position with a client that is a large financial institution.

Job location : Coral Gables, FL

Position is hybrid (3x  week on site)

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Database Administration
• In-depth, advanced knowledge of SQL Server database structures, security, storage solutions, virtualization, replication, clustering and performance tuning
• Experience with backup, restore, and recovery models and tools
• Proficient in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale database systems in Amazon Web Services with MSSQL, MySQL, or other relational database technologies, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security
• Experience in designing and developing data warehousing solutions using SSIS and SSRS to support business intelligence and reporting needs
• Proven expertise in optimizing database performance, using techniques such as indexing, caching, table design, query plan analysis and query optimization to improve query execution times and overall system performance
• Hands-on experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS or Aurora, GCP Cloud SQL, or Azure SQL)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Highly desirable previous experience working for Financial Services / Banks
• Highly desirable fluency in Portuguese or Spanish
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Requirements

10+ years of IT software development experience 3 plus years’ experience as an Integration Specialist or a similar role, with a strong background in designing and implementing application integrations. In-depth knowledge of integration methodologies, technologies, and tools, including APIs, web services, ETL, and middleware. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Digibee, Informatica) and their capabilities. Strong understanding of data formats and protocols (XML, JSON, SOAP, REST). Experience with database systems and SQL. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues. Strong analytical and technical documentation skills. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Fluency in Portuguese and / or Spanish is desirable Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
