Must Haves :

  • Able to pass drug and background check.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Carpentry, Masonry, Roadwork, Dock Work, Construction, renovation / GC, landscaping, etc. (outdoor / hands on).

Plusses :

  • ACI / SCDOT / Earthwork Certification.
  • Construction or concrete background.
  • Military background.

    • Day to Day :

    Insight Global is hiring Construction Materials Technicians for a large engineering consulting firm in Charleston.

    Responsibilities include testing, observation, and inspection of construction projects; communicating with the PM, engineering technicians, and clients; and completing digital reports daily. Technicians will :

  • Meet with their manager at the office, travel to job sites, perform required tasks, report results to the PM, and either get a new assignment or finish for the day.
  • Work on one site or multiple sites within 1 hour of Charleston (company vehicle provided; commute time paid).
  • Monitor fill and soil placements, handle concrete cylinders, test concrete during placement, transport samples for lab analysis, and enter lab data.
  • Maintain and clean equipment, adhere to strict safety standards, and demonstrate excellent communication skills.
