As Nuclear Med Tech, you will :
Perform manual and automated testing procedures in accordance with safe radiation practicesPrepare and monitor patients for diagnostic imaging proceduresFollow radiation safety and protection protocolsMonitor nuclear medicine procedures to ensure accurate dosage of radiopharmaceuticalsMaintain radiation safety in compliance with applicable laws and regulationsMonitor and maintain radiation levels in the testing areaPerform and document routine maintenance on nuclear medicine equipmentA few must haves for the Acute Care LPN :
Requires active status through one of the following : American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT) : Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R) or Nuclear Medicine, RT(NM); or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) : Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.Requires current Indiana State Department of Health license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.2 years of recent and related experience, as required by facilityMust be able to work independently, yet together as part of a teamMust be able to remain calm under pressureProficient at taking vital signs and administering medication accordinglyActive BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facilityWhy join Interim HealthCare Staffing?
