Linux Systems Engineer

A company is looking for a Linux Systems Engineer to provide senior Linux engineering expertise for workloads and applications hosted across IRS Linux environments.

Key Responsibilities :

Support Linux-hosted application assessment, data discovery, tagging, and protection

Develop security controls and implementation standards aligned with Zero Trust and IRS policies

Integrate Linux systems with CIPEC monitoring, incident response, and data inventory and tagging workflows

Required Qualifications :

Bachelor of science or engineering in computer science or related fields

10+ years of Linux engineering experience

At least one relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified System Administrator)

Deep understanding of scripting, hardening, access control, and security configurations

Experience integrating Linux with enterprise cybersecurity and data loss prevention tools
