Job Summary
This position involves delivering essential respiratory therapy to patients based on physician directives and departmental protocols. You will work independently in various acute and critical care environments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare personnel to recommend appropriate treatment options. Your expertise will be required for patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

We are pleased to offer competitive sign-on bonuses for qualified full-time roles : $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience and $5,000 for those with less than one year. Accountabilities
Supervisory / Management Responsibility
This role is non-management and will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Minimum Requirements
Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program approved by the American Medical Association or a similar accrediting body, or eligible for licensure in South Carolina, or a senior student graduating within the next 3 months.
Required Certifications / Registrations / Licenses
You must be a licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina or eligible for licensure, or a senior student graduating within the next 3 months. BLS certification is required. NBRC credentials must be maintained. Candidates hired prior to June 2016 may hold Certified Respiratory Therapist status.
New hires from June 2016 onwards must pass the Therapist Multiple Choice Exam at the Registered Therapist cut score and complete the Clinical Simulation Exam within 6 months of graduation. Failure to pass the clinical simulation exam within this timeframe will result in termination from Prisma Health.
NRP and PALS certifications are required in the Children's Hospital before independently working in the NICU and PICU.
Other Required Skills and Experience
Effective teamwork skills are essential. Strong communication, computer, and organizational skills are required.
