JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for helping team members, the department, and other general customers with a wide variety of concerns and inquiries. Assists in performing general human resources tasks. Serves as a point of contact screening calls, emails, and mail to resolve issues or direct to appropriate staff. Performs administrative functions, organizing and storing documents, and coordinating events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists in accomplishing set goals and objectives of the organization. Works effectively with team by demonstrating our core values and best practices. Meets expectations and is accountable for achieving results.
- Supports team by performing clerical and administrative functions along with helping with special projects. Organizes, indexes, and handles sensitive documents with confidentiality and accuracy. Assists in performing general human resources tasks, such as benefits, leaves, recruiting, etc.
- Tracks, monitors, and coordinates the employment renewal documents to remain compliant with all laws and regulations. Handles new hire paperwork and creates badges. Conducts basic reports and audits. Follows company policies and procedures consistently.
- Screens calls, emails, and mail to resolve issues or direct to appropriate staff to handle. Adheres to best practices in customer service behavior and kind demeanor.
- On-site attendance is required. Occasional adjustment in work schedule to meet important human resources events is required.
Position Requirements
- Education/Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years' experience of performing office administrative functions is required. Basic knowledge of employment forms is preferred.
- Knowledge: Basic employment law and administrative clerical work.
- Skills:
Satisfactory customer service and interactions amongst various types of customers. Is courteous, respectful, and capable handling basic challenging conversations. Demonstrates moderate problem solving and resolution capabilities. Satisfactory communication and collaboration abilities with team members, customers, vendors/providers, and leadership. Displays strong organizational and attention to detail skills with high accuracy. Handles basic and standard computer applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other clerical functions.
