Job Title : Mainframe z / OS Systems Programmer

Job Description
The z / OS Systems Programmer will serve as the subject matter expert for the z / OS operating environment, providing advanced technical support, system administration, and performance tuning across mainframe platforms. The role involves supporting system releases, upgrades, integrations, and troubleshooting, while collaborating closely with cross-functional IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide primary support and expertise for z / OS operating systems and related system components.
Offer direct technical support for planning, implementation, testing, and deployment of z / OS releases, upgrades, and system modifications.
Support end users for assigned Independent Software Vendor (ISV) products, including BlueZone.
Provide administration and end-user support for SCLM.
Support CICS® and IMS™ administration.
Diagnose platform and software issues; perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Analyze system performance issues and provide recommendations for capacity planning.
Contribute to system-wide performance tuning efforts to meet required service levels.
Manage system libraries and recommend system parameter configurations.
Provide technical consultation and respond to inquiries from internal IT teams.
Serve as a technical lead or participate in projects affecting the z / OS platform.
Support integration testing of new software products with existing applications and procedures.
Assist in maintaining and supporting Mainframe Production Control, support jobs, and monthly job scheduling.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong experience with z / OS Systems Programming.
Experience with JES2, z / OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and Storage Management Subsystem (SMS).
Experience with TSS (Top Secret Security).
Experience with performance monitoring, including initial analysis of performance issues.
Experience with REXX scripting.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration.
