Controller

LHH is partnering with a stable and established organization seeking a Controller to lead and direct its accounting operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance leader who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys shaping financial policy, developing staff, and driving process improvements. The Controller will play a key role in ensuring the organization's financial integrity and supporting its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, audit preparation, budgeting, payroll, and treasury.
• Develop and implement accounting systems, procedures, and standards to ensure effective financial management.
• Maintain and enforce robust internal controls to support the proper expenditure and recording of organizational, federal, state, and grant funds.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and other relevant standards.
• Lead the annual audit process, including preparation of reports, schedules, and timelines.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff; provide or coordinate training and professional development.
• Collaborate with department heads and program managers to compile, prepare, and monitor budgets for various programs and grants.
• Oversee procurement, fixed asset management, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns and fiscal reports.
• Maintain strong banking relationships and manage lines of credit as needed.
• Advise leadership on legal, tax, and financial matters.
• Support process improvement initiatives and stay current on industry trends and best practices.
• Uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.

Pay Details : $120,000.00 to $145,000.00 per year
