They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.

BUSINESS OVERVIEW :

The Information Services is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across Major Global Bank Goup. The Information Services implements state of the art technologies and operational processes which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account, corporate action, financial, documents, calendar / holiday data. The Information Services organization has a very diverse portfolio of clients and works in partnership with them to deploy solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.

The Price and Calendar technology team will be responsible for building the next generation holiday data platform supporting the bank's books and records and over 300 downstream consumers within the Major Global Bank Group. This involves end to end responsibilities from data modeling, application design, data integration / analysis and working with the business partners and vendor data feeds for implementation. Product, Price, and Calendar reference data is critical to the bank and must be available, accurate, and complete for global financial markets and the bank's regulatory commitments.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE :

The Vice President Technical Analyst will play a key leadership role in the design and build out of the Price and Holiday Master Central enterprise data platforms, which is aiming to create a unified framework and aligned operational processes to ensure Major Global Bank regulatory obligations are met and sustainable going forward - across all impacted Legal Entities, Business lines and regional regulators. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of database design, SQL, and mastery of data analytic skillsets in both qualitative and quantitative against large and complex data structure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Development and execution reengineering strategy adapting and utilizing readily available tools.

This function will insure new and existing processes utilize available tech solutions at maximum.

The role will involve closely reviewing all existing flows and assessing for tech fitness.

Interaction will be required with global development team comprising of Business Analysts and developers across different sites globally. Support in packaging and implementation across the different environments will be required and aiding / supporting the user acceptance testing phase

Partner with multiple management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals as well as identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.

Resolve variety of high impact problems / projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards

Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.

Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow and develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.

Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals.

Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions.

Serve as advisor or coach to mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as necessary.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Major Global Bank , its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS :

8-10 years of relevant experience in Application Development or systems analysis role

Excellent hands on professional proficient in Java or Python with strong understanding of application architectural design and implementation

Strong database knowledge mainly in Oracle or SQL Server with extensive knowledge on database design, data integrity and normalization

Data warehousing experience on high volume data processing is a must

Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications

Experience in managing and implementing successful projects.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development

Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate.

Demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.

Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills is a must. Deep experience working with large data sets.

Strong database design and modeling knowledge, deep understanding of data integrity and normalization
