Position summary :

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations of a remote organization with 250+ fitness club franchise locations. This role manages daily accounting functions, ensures accurate reporting, oversees month-end close, and supports the yearly audit. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, multi-entity experience, and thrives in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee, direct and organize the work of the accounting team (3 members – 1 of which is offshore)
• Manage daily accounting functions—cash management, accounts payable, employee credit card transactions, utility payments, and lease administration assuring accurate and timely processing.
• Oversee the monthly financial close process, including journal entry preparation / review, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with accounting policies.
• Manage submissions of monthly sales tax filings and yearly property tax filings.
• Prepare accurate and timely analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data.
• Support the annual audit process by providing documentation and resolving inquiries.
• Prepare and support monthly employee bonus process.
• Prepare weekly cash forecasts for senior management decision-making.

• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
