Powered Industrial Truck Trainer
Coke Florida is looking for a Powered Industrial Truck Trainer based out of our Tampa Location covering the Western region. Working Monday - Friday 8 : 00am - 5pm with some travel.
What You Will Do :
Coke Florida is searching for a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Trainer based out of our Tampa location. As the PIT trainer, you will support the Tampa Bay and surrounding facilities by becoming the subject matter expert (SME) for PIT safety, certification, incident reduction, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have previous training / teaching and leadership experience. Ideally, they will have a deep familiarity with OSHA standards and will have the ability to demonstrate expert level knowledge of material handling equipment.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Serve as the primary regional expert and point of contact for PIT training and operator development
- Must have and / or willingness attain Master Powered Industrial Truck Trainer Certification within 90 days of employment
- Review, create, and regularly update all our PIT classroom and hands on training. This will include training the trainers and the continuous improvement of training documents
- Certify operator and instructors, while ensuring documentation accuracy
- In partnership with Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHSS) leaders, conduct regular safety audits
- Partner with Operations and EHSS to ensure network standard training materials are accurate
- Create and coordinate all PIT training activities to include onboarding, refresher, re-certification and remedial training
- Educate associates on electrical and hydraulic hazards
- Maintain knowledge of federal, state and location regulations to ensure Coke Florida remains compliant
- Travel to multiple locations while being available to coach and train occasionally on nights and weekends
For this role, you will need :
3-5 years of experience delivering training in both a classroom and practical setting.2+ years of PIT / Forklift Training3+ years of PIT equipment experienceRequired forklift, pallet jack or combination.Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite including PowerPoint and / or similar tools to create classroom training.Demonstrated ability of OSHA regulations and applicable state / local requirements.Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, manufacturing specifications, and part lists.Effective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds as well as spend majority of workday with or without reasonable accommodationWillingness to travel up to 30-40% of time.Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role :
Experience creating and maintaining training curriculum.Experience in a high-volume warehouse / distribution or manufacturing environmentAbility to adjust on the fly.Master PIT Trainer Certification
