Full Time LVN - Morning/Weekend Availability

About the Role:

The Full Time LVN at LGTC Group - Willow Glen RTC plays a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to our adolescent clients going through eating disorder treatment in our 24/7 facility. This position is essential for ensuring that all patients receive timely medical attention and support, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery. The LVN will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans and monitor patient progress. Additionally, this role involves educating patients and their families about health management and treatment options. Ultimately, the LVN will help create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes healing and comfort for all clients.

This is a full-time, 40-hour position, for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday morning shifts (7:00-3:30pm). The ideal candidate can begin working by the end of June.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid LVN license in the state of California.
• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a residential treatment center or similar healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of mental health nursing practices.
• Knowledge or experience with eating disorders
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish or other languages.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status.
• Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Aid the milieu counselors on the floor and assist with bathroom observations and cleaning tasks.

The required skills for this position include strong clinical assessment abilities, which are essential for monitoring patient conditions and responding to changes effectively. Communication skills are vital, as the LVN will need to convey important health information to patients and collaborate with team members. Time management skills will be utilized daily to prioritize tasks and ensure that all patients receive timely care. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of mental health practices, will enhance the LVN's ability to provide specialized care and support to patients in a residential treatment setting.
