Quality Assurance Representative

HFS Company is a nationally recognized AEC project management and consulting firm working through prime contracts on a variety of federal and military medical projects throughout the US and Europe. Work Location is Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama

Ensure work performed meets the requirements of all contract plans and specifications through the effective review of construction documents and project monitoring and inspection.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

• Perform on-site surveillance and inspect contractor's quality control activities.
• Participate in 3-phase inspection process.
• Monitor adherence to approved design standards, codes, and regulations.
• Monitor and record testing required by contract documents.
• Maintain progress photos.
• Communicate with the government point of contact any quality-related concerns
• Review and recommend approve / disapproval of AHAs, submittals, shop drawings, and samples.
• Review and evaluate all RFIs, change orders and change order requests and recommend actions.
• Aid in preparing punch lists.
• Review final 'as built' drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to address interdisciplinary challenges.
• Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the project team and broader organization.
• Attend weekly progress meetings with architects, engineers, and prime contractors.
• Produce detailed report of daily construction activities, project status, meetings, personnel assignments, site visitors. Report will be submitted in RMS and will detail descriptions of the work inspected, descriptions of the problems or delays and resolution, construction activities completed and / or in progress.
• Participate in commissioning activities.
• Monitor job safety.
