Are you an experienced maintenance professional with a passion for keeping systems and facilities operating at their best? At Meriter Hospital, we’re seeking a skilled Mechanic III to ensure that our equipment, systems, and buildings are maintained to the highest standards—providing a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

What You'll Do :

As a Mechanic III, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining our hospital’s physical infrastructure. Your responsibilities may include :

Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical).

Troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of equipment and infrastructure systems.

Supporting regulatory compliance by maintaining facilities to meet hospital and healthcare industry standards.

Specializing in an area based on your experience and facility needs (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance).

Responding to work orders and emergencies to ensure a safe and comfortable environment at all times.

What We're Looking For :

Proven experience in facilities maintenance or as a mechanical technician—preferably in a healthcare or commercial setting.

Technical knowledge in areas such as electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or general building systems.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

A commitment to safety, quality, and excellent customer service.

Flexibility to respond to urgent facility needs or rotating on-call duties.

Required Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience as a Mechanic 2, or maintenance-related service work

Preferred Qualifications :

High school graduate with two years' formal education in a mechanical field.

1-3 years health care related experience
