Job Details Mechanical Design Engineer (Healthcare & Pharmaceutical) Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to Lead the design of Complex Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Projects. Conceptual Design experience using Revit Software Required. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years focused on healthcare or pharmaceutical facilities. Professional Engineer (PE) License Required. Proven experience delivering design-build projects from planning through occupancy. Deep understanding of HVAC, chilled water, steam, cleanroom, and ventilation systems. Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated success in leading design teams, managing client expectations, and delivering high-quality technical work. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and mechanical system modeling tools preferred. Responsibilities: Lead mechanical engineering efforts on healthcare and pharmaceutical design-build projects, from concept through construction. Serve as the technical authority, overseeing mechanical system design, engineering standards, and quality assurance. Manage and mentor engineering staff and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams including electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Provide technical review of designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and code compliance. Support project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications. Develop project proposals, including scope definition, design approach, resource planning, and cost estimating. Represent the firm during client meetings, design charrettes, and on-site construction reviews. Ensure adherence to healthcare and pharmaceutical design standards, including cGMP, FDA, USP 797/800, and ASHRAE guidelines.
