We support a wide range of industries including automotive, industrial, consumer, and defense. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization committed to craftsmanship and excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications
- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed
- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes
