Job Description
A leading hospital system is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Mobile PET) to join the healthcare team in Waco, TX. You will be performing advanced nuclear medicine and PET imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images, and supporting patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires someone committed to patient safety, radiation safety, and efficient imaging operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine, PET, SPECT, and SPECT / CT procedures in compliance with departmental protocols.
- Follow quality control, quality assurance, radiation safety, and infection control procedures.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established guidelines.
- Verify correct patient identity and procedure prior to exams.
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and perform daily quality control checks.
- Ensure accurate image transfer and documentation within PACS and EMR systems.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and radiation safety before and after exams.
- Communicate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and healthcare staff.
Requirements
ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT) certification required.AHA BLS certification required.Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine or PET experience required.Ability to work independently in mobile and hospital-based environments.Knowledge of radiation safety standards, protocols, and regulatory requirements.Ability to operate computers and imaging software systems.Schedule Options
Monday–Friday, 0700–1600 (7 : 00 AM–4 : 00 PM).Travel to another facility required one day per week (Wednesdays)
