Job Overview : Join our dynamic team at Smoochie Pooch as a Pet Groomer and become an integral part of our commitment to providing top-notch grooming services for pets. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality grooming services, ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our furry clients. If you have a passion for working with animals, possess excellent grooming skills, and thrive in a customer-centric environment.
Responsibilities :
- Perform bathing and grooming services for pets, including but not limited to brushing, haircuts, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats, skin, teeth, and overall health, and communicate any concerns to pet owners.
- Stay informed about breed standards and specific grooming requirements for different pet breeds.
- Provide value-added services, such as spa treatments, de-shedding, and specialty styling, based on customer preferences.
- Handle and restrain pets safely and compassionately during grooming procedures.
- Build strong relationships with pet owners by understanding their preferences and addressing any specific grooming requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for pets.
- Keep accurate records of pet grooming services, appointments, and any health-related observations.
- Educate pet owners on proper at-home grooming techniques and recommend grooming products.
- Groom to capacity levels, managing workload efficiently and maintaining productivity.
- Sanitize equipment after each groom and maintain groomer equipment in optimal condition.
