Kunkel Engineering Group a Geo-Logic Associates Company is currently seeking talented, experienced Building Inspectors to support areas of Dodge, Green Lake, Washington, and Waupaca Counties. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities

• Read and examine plans and specifications when required.
• Perform field inspections during various stages of construction.
• Report violations and maintain files/records.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Knowledge & Skills

• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and current construction procedures/technology
• Interpretation of codes in the field and ability to provide code compliant solutions.
• Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, contractors, the general public, governmental entities, and other clientele.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
• Knowledge of municipal zoning ordinances and codes
• Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment.

Education & Experience

• State of WI Commercial Building Inspector certification
• State of WI UDC Construction, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical certification
• Minimum of 3 Years of experience in municipal code inspections
• Knowledge or experience with Zoning Administration (not required)
• High School or Equivalent
• Good Driving Record & valid WI driver's license

Candidate also must meet the following criteria:

• Be eligible to work in the United States
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
