Are you ready to dive into the core operations of a dynamic organization? As our Staff Accountant , you will be essential to maintaining the financial integrity and smooth operation of the company.
What You'll Do
- Reconcile reports to the general ledger.
- Account for Revenue and Deferred Revenue in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 606.
- Perform bank reconciliations for all designated bank accounts.
- Upload payroll for staff twice each month, including a basic review for reasonableness across expense categories.
- Maintain the trial balance, which includes :
- Completing balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Producing and supporting lead sheets required for audit.
- Monitoring and correcting items incorrectly booked.
- Review customer contracts to assist in revenue accounting, discussing with business leads as necessary.
- Support the associated entity's accounting and trial balance needs as required.
- Assist external auditors in the preparation of the audited financial statements.
- Provide audit support for account balances.
- Participate in assigned meetings, events, and training as required.
Non-essential Duties include :
Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports.Assist in analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligation incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.Perform any and all other duties (or functions) as assigned.What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, fiscal management, or a related field; CPA preferred.At least 3 years of experience with solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles including revenue recognition.Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, methods and legal requirements, journal entries, balance sheet, fixed assets.Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.Travel required locally or long-distance up to 10% of the time for work-related meetings and functions.When / Where / How Much
