Job Description

As a Security Professional - School Patrol in La Canada Flintridge, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, engaging with students, faculty, and visitors, and providing outstanding customer service. Position Type : Part Time

Pay Rate : $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Sat 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 30 PM

Sun 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the educational location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or property damage to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and ensuring only authorized individuals are on the premises.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols and site requirements.
  • Collaborate with staff, students, and visitors to provide information and support as needed, while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
