The Operations Manager EVS will provide leadership and management oversight for continuous improvement of the standard EVS operating model within the facility. Provides an optimal environment for patient care, safety, service and value. Manages the day to day operations of the department and ensures a consistently high level of cleanliness and aesthetics to patients, visitors and staff.
Qualifications
Education: Requires the ability to read and write and be able to follow oral and written instructions. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, prefer bachelor's degree. Experience: Required - Minimum 3 years in environmental services and/or acute care related service departments. Required - 1 year in supervisory level experience, managing and scheduling staff. Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: N/A Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Must be able to operate and handle all types of floor care equipment safely without assistance. Includes, but not limited to, hi and low speed buffers, carpet extractors, wet-vacs, floor scrubbers, various vacuums, flatbeds, linen carts, mop buckets and wringers. Specialized Skills: None required. Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to bend, stretch, stoop, lift, and reach repeatedly. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly. Must be able to handle, operate full linen/trash carts and work with all required equipment, chemicals, supplies and any other necessary tools as required by the department supervisor. Must be able to demonstrate satisfactory ability in all sensory areas such as hearing, sight, verbal to communicate and meet all other job requirements effectively. Must not be allergic to latex. Must be inoculated as prescribed by Employee Health, prior to working in patient areas.
