PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in Oldsmar, FL for a 1-year contract-to-hire role working 2nd shift, Monday-Thursday (3 : 30 PM-2 : 00 AM EST). This on-site position supports a major aerospace & defense company and focuses on designing and improving manufacturing processes for cable harness assemblies and subassemblies. The engineer will partner closely with operations and design engineering to develop production layouts, implement tooling, incorporate inspection / test requirements, and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.
Required Skills

- Ability to read / write English
- Experience designing manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts
- Demonstrated understanding of cable harness manufacturing and how cable processes flow from print to production
- Ability to interpret engineering prints / drawings and translate requirements into buildable processes
- Experience supporting production-floor operations and resolving real-time manufacturing issues
- Experience driving continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions to improve quality and efficiency
- Ability to design, procure, and implement tooling to support manufacturing processes
- Working knowledge of incorporating inspection and test requirements into production plans
- Ability to evaluate equipment / tool performance, identify deficiencies, and initiate corrective actions
Preferred Skills
