No experience necessary, but preference will be given to applicants currently holding a valid Conductor / Engineer Certification under CFR 240 / 242.

Candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the reporting location.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Performs duties associated with the movement of rail cars : operate track switches, couple and uncouple cars, works on freight trains in yard and local operations.

Qualifications & Requirements :

• Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather.
• Work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and carry objects of various weight.
• Able to walk, sit, stand, bend, stoop and climb.
• Distinguish colors and communicate using a radio.
• Speak, read and write English.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Subject to random alcohol and drug testing pursuant to Federal Railroad Administration Guidelines.
