Summary : The Business Support associate supports and assists DPI staff in crucial sales roles to allow those personnel to focus on selling products. This includes data management, administrative support, performing research activities, generating reports to provide personnel with up to date information to analyze and plan activities.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities : High school diploma or equivalent is required. Four years of administrative support, or similar field experience, is required. The employee must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point), AS400 and Oracle. The employee must be proficient in written and verbal communication in English and have the ability to perform mathematic functions, analysis and writing skills to accomplish designated Business Support functions. Must have the ability to multitask and monitor multiple projects and needs of internal and external customers and understand and communicate new vendor and item set up process.
Work Environment : The work environment is indoors in a professional office environment. The floor surfaces are carpeted in office areas and conference rooms with vinyl floor covering typical in hallways, break rooms and computer rooms.
Work Hours : The work schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day. Start time may vary, with work hours typically 8am-5pm. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime and holidays or weekends.
Physical and Mental Demands : Sedentary, exerting up to 10 of force occasionally, and / or negligible amounts of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Know and follow proper office and safety protocols; know and follow DPI dress code and personal hygiene requirements; ability to multitask and monitor multiple projects and needs of internal and external customers; perform mathematic functions and analyses and use writing skills to accomplish designated Business Support functions; understand and apply new vendor and item set-up processes.
