Must-Have : - Prior experience managing patient ratios of 1 : 5. - Experience in a PCU / Telemetry environment. - Skills in accessing / managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, and more. Description : Nurses on this unit care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems. The patient population includes cardiac, neuro, renal, infectious disease, pulmonary, and more. As a registered nurse, you will be accountable for the coordination of direct patient care and education. You will manage patients with conditions such as hypo / hypertension, CHF, chest pain, stroke pre / post care, COPD, PE, and various dysrhythmias. You will also handle special procedures including insulin drips for DKA, pre / post cardiac cauterizations, and cardioversions. Your responsibilities will include administering high flow nasal cannula, managing tracheostomy patients, and conducting wound care. Working weekends every other weekend is required, as is the expectation to work holidays based on the RTO policy. This role involves interdisciplinary support from various departments, enhancing the overall patient care experience. You must comply with fit testing requirements, which may require shaving facial hair unless exempted by a medical provider. All staff are expected to adhere to a zero-tolerance policy regarding THC use.
