Facility City & State : Northern CA Facility Type : Hospital affiliated clinic Provider Profession Needed : MD / DO Specialty : Pediatrics Start Date : 4 / 3 / 2025 End Date : 3 / 8 / 2026 Length of Assignment : 1 year Credentialing Timeframe : Credentialing turn time expected at 60-90 days Work Schedule : Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday (8a - 4 : 40p) Patient Volume : Average of 18 patients per day Procedures : - Consult with patients to determine appropriate treatment courses

  • Recommend and order diagnostic tests to evaluate illnesses
  • Monitor lab results and medication adherence
  • Prescribe treatments, therapies, medications, and vaccinations to prevent or treat illnesses
  • Explain procedures, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families
  • Refer patients to medical specialists as necessary
  • Represent the practice in hospital committees, ensuring equitable meeting attendance among physicians
  • Collaborate with and manage APPs to enhance patient care EMR : Cerner License Needed : CA Certifications Needed : MD / DO - Board-certified in Pediatrics
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of California APP
  • Current Physician Assistant licensure by the State of California Physician Assistant Examining Committee and Board Certified.

OR Current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Board Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Critical Care Nurses, or Pediatric Nursing Certification Board.

  • Current AHA or equivalent certification in CPR.
  • Maintains a current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above.
  • Maintains a current Furnishing Number for medications

    • Relevant Experience / Skill Set Needed : Out-patient pediatrics Other additional pertinent information : - Proven experience in a pediatric primary care setting
