The

Disability Benefits Specialist serves as the financial representative for people who have been deemed not fully capable of managing their own benefits by the Social Security Administration. This position works with CCH clients receiving Social Security benefits who are actively engaged with case management services with a CCH permanent supportive housing program. This position ensures all payee files are managed in compliance with Social Security's policy and procedure requirements. The Disability Benefits Specialist plays a critical role in keeping clients housed through safeguarding and managing their finances. The position is unique in that it combines the skills needed for financial management, resource management, and case management.
