Overview:
Do you thrive at the intersection of secure cloud architecture and enterprise-scale innovation? Quevera is seeking a future experienced Cloud Architect III to lead strategic cloud initiatives in a highly secure DoD environment. This is a critical role for a dynamic professional with deep expertise in cybersecurity compliance, hybrid cloud deployments, and multi-cloud architecture. Your work will directly support mission objectives, security assurance, and modernization efforts across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architecture efforts for secure cloud environments, including on-prem, off-prem, and hybrid models
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and systems security analysis across cloud deployments in line with DoD cybersecurity requirements
• Serve as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for secure cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with NIST, DoD, and industry standards
• Support the evaluation and integration of Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs), including XaaS solutions across multiple providers
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments
• Apply deep understanding of commercial CSOs and work with cloud providers to ensure secure service adoption
• Maintain alignment with cybersecurity compliance frameworks, contributing to risk assessments, remediation plans, and audit support
• Participate in cloud strategy development, ensuring solutions are forward-thinking and meet operational, technical, and security goals
• Document architecture decisions, standards, and best practices for knowledge transfer and continuous improvement

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience; one additional year may substitute for degree)
• 10+ years of relevant experience in secure cloud environments, with at least 5 years in systems security or engineering disciplines
• Active IAT II+ or IAM II+ certification (per DoD 8570 requirements)
• Proven experience in vulnerability analysis, system security assessments, and ISSM responsibilities within secure cloud settings
• Experience working across on-prem, off-prem, and hybrid cloud architectures
• Strong understanding of XaaS and commercial cloud offerings (CSOs)
• Familiarity with DoD security requirements, policies, and secure authorization processes
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated success in complex, enterprise-wide IT environments
