Job Title : Slitter Operator

Job Description

Join our team in a crucial role as a Slitter Operator, working in a cleanroom environment dedicated to the production of resistant film for circuit board manufacturing. The cleanroom setting ensures that the film remains free from dust and debris. You will be cross-trained in material handling tasks, and any experience in shipping and receiving will be beneficial, as well as proficiency in using measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate a slitter machine or other machines in the final stage of the production process after the film has undergone the coating process.
• Load large rolls of film onto the machine, cutting them down to smaller rolls.
• Use a forklift to transport film rolls and place them on the machine.
• Feed film and set parameters for slitting runs, monitoring equipment for any errors or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with a helper to load raw materials onto the machine and unload the final product.
• Operate the label machine and use a computer for inventory tracking.
• Document all product runs and assist in packaging operations by sliding completed rolls into sleeves.
• Lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly and stand for 8-10 hour shifts, performing various tasks as needed.
• Place rolls on a conveyor belt, requiring the ability to lift 40 lbs above waist level.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Chesterfield, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00 / hr.
