What does an Early Childhood Lead Teacher do?

Are you ready to take the lead in shaping young minds and creating a nurturing environment? As a Full Time Early Childhood Lead Teacher at Y, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day classroom activities. From planning and leading program activities to ensuring effective communication with children, parents, and center personnel, you'll be at the heart of creating a positive learning experience.

Collaborating with the center director and providing guidance to Teacher Assistants will be key in ensuring smooth operations and a supportive team dynamic. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our little ones!

Are you the Teacher we're looking for?

• Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA certification.
• An understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development.
• Specific knowledge in developmentally appropriate practices for the age group.
• Must have or enroll in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and Prevention of Infectious Diseases.
• Warm and friendly personality and the desire to work directly with young children.
• Meet DCY licensing qualifications in training and background check.
