Tax Manager
Position Overview
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing the tax compliance and planning activities of the organization. This role involves managing tax staff, ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with all regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Manage the tax compliance process and provide guidance to the tax team.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Conduct research on tax issues and provide recommendations.
- Review and analyze tax provisions and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Assist in audits and respond to tax inquiries from government agencies.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management or public accounting.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team.Benefits
