Job Summary

Instructs and develops curriculum for courses within theInformation Technology Center of Excellence.

Job Responsibilities

This position instructs and develops curriculum for courses within the Information Technology Center of Excellence for Tri-C’s Workforce Community Education Division. Subject matter experts needed in all of the following areas:

• Microsoft Office 2016 or newer
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2017 or newer
• HTML
• CSS
• JavaScript jQuery
• AJAX and JSON
• C# (.NET)
• Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle
• Windows PowerShell
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
• CEH Certified Trainer
• CISSP Certified Trainer
• AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
• Windows or Linux Server Administration
• IBM AI or Blockchain
• Microsoft AI

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Advanced communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal) and organizational skills.
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population.
• Proven background in providing dynamic instruction with the ability to integrate industry, professional, and life experiences into a classroom learning environment in either large or small groups.
• Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes.
• Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Evaluates and grades students’ class work and assignments.
• Provides coaching to individual students as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Industry certifications in one or more of the above programs
