Assistant Superintendent

Position Summary

The Assistant Superintendent supports the successful delivery of construction projects by assisting in daily on-site operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining quality standards, and keeping projects on schedule. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow into a Superintendent position, with hands-on involvement in field coordination, subcontractor management, and project execution. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager to ensure smooth project delivery and strong communication across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in managing all on-site construction activities to ensure safety, schedule, and quality standards are met.
• Support coordination among subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel.
• Help plan and organize daily site operations, including manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Monitor progress and report daily activities, including photos and field documentation, using company software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
• Participate in site safety inspections and meetings; promote a culture of safety and accountability.
• Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and identify potential field issues.
• Help manage site logistics such as deliveries, storage, and site access to maintain efficient workflow.
• Assist in tracking and verifying subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to schedule and quality expectations.
• Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in maintaining project schedules, quality control, and punch list completion.
• Communicate regularly with field teams, subcontractors, and project leadership to support overall project objectives.
• Contribute to a positive team culture and maintain strong working relationships with all project participants.
