The Minnesota Star Tribune offers a 10-week summer software engineering internship with our Product Engineering this role youll have the opportunity to learn how we build and maintain the digital products that power our award-winning news platform.
This internship is ideal for someone who is early in their software engineering journey and eager to gain real-world experience in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Youll work alongside experienced engineers and have opportunities to contribute to both internal and external tools.
Interns will work 40 hours per week for 10 weeks between June and August for $26 / hr.
What youll do :
- Learn to build and maintain software with support from your team
- Assist with small frontend or backend tasks using TypeScript and frameworks like React or NextJS
- Collaborate with designers product managers and engineers to understand and implement features
- Participate in team activities such as standups sprint planning and code reviews
- Gain exposure to how we deploy and support production systems
