Accountant

Accountant Position

The USU Controller's Office seeks to hire an Accountant as part of the College Accounting team. The successful applicant will contribute to and support all aspects of college accounting and financial reporting functions.

Responsibilities :

• Review completed financial statements for accuracy
• Calculate required financial information for statements and notes to ensure compliance with GASB requirements
• Maintain records and files
• Calculate and remit sales tax revenue
• Compiles statistical, financial, accounting, and / or auditing reports and tables
• Provide expert support for colleges and departments
• Prepare complex journal entries
• Reconcile difficult accounts and reports, resolving discrepancies and problems
• Assist and support account reconciliation for university auxiliaries
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

ADA Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and / or contaminants, but not necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
