- Capability to assist SMEs in building tools/workflows within structured environments (e.g., ChatGPT, Alteryx, proprietary tools), while following governance, risk, and quality standards.
Quality, Testing, and Feedback Systems
- Discipline in UAT planning, test-case development, feedback capture, defect documentation, and iterative improvement cycles.
Communication & Change Enablement
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to produce user-facing guidance (job aids, instructions, FAQs), internal updates, and adoption materials that drive behavior change.
Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Product Translation
- Partner with tax SMEs to map technical tax workflows and identify high-value "jobs to be done" suitable for AI/technology augmentation.
- Produce high-quality user stories, requirements documentation, and acceptance criteria to support product enhancement and tool development.
- Maintain organized backlogs and documentation that enable efficient triage, prioritization, and delivery.
Enablement & Training Delivery
- Plan and lead enablement sessions for tax teams and new hires, including live trainings, recorded content, office hours, and targeted role-based upskilling.
- Create training materials and practical exercises that translate AI concepts into daily tax work outcomes.
Co-Building with Tax SMEs
- Assist tax practitioners in developing AI-enabled workflows and tools within controlled technology environments (e.g., enterprise ChatGPT solutions, Alteryx, proprietary platforms).
- Help convert one-off experimentation into standardized assets (templates, playbooks, reusable prompts, documented procedures).
Communications & Thought Leadership
- Create and publish internal communications, user guides, instructions, release notes, and change management documentation to drive adoption and consistency.
- Contribute to practice-facing thought leadership on applied AI in tax, responsible use, and emerging capabilities.
Testing, QA, and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct user acceptance testing sessions with tax teams; document outcomes, issues, and enhancement opportunities.
- Log defects and improvement stories with clear reproduction steps and prioritization context.
- Support QA testing and validate fixes/enhancements before broader release.
Stakeholders & Collaboration Model
This role partners across:
- Tax practitioners and SMEs (end users, workflow owners)

- Proficiency with ChatGPT or equivalent enterprise-grade customizable AI chat tools, including ability to produce repeatable workflows and guidance (not just ad hoc usage).
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility with tax professionals and lead group enablement sessions.
- High organizational discipline: documentation, backlog tracking, follow-through, and clear status communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coding or automation skills (e.g., Python) applied to workflow enablement, document processing, or analytics.
