Associate Attorney

Lafayette Whitlock Fischer Hughes PLC, a successful law firm located in Henrico County, Virginia, represents individuals and businesses throughout the central Virginia region. The firm seeks an associate attorney for its business, real estate (residential and commercial), and estate planning practice. This position offers an opportunity to work in an supportive environment where you will engage in preparation of transactional documents and client representation. You will be responsible for providing high-quality legal services while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

• Duties
• Draft, review, and revise contracts, leases, and estate planning documents for specific client matters
• Perform real estate and business closings
• Interact with clients, real estate agents, and other attorneys
• Participate in client meetings to discuss legal options and strategies tailored to their specific needs.
• Requirements
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia State Bar and an active license to practice law.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Prior experience is required.
• Knowledge of various areas of law including business, real estate and estate planning is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to work independently when required.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $90,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
