Remote - 8-12 Week Medical Record Data Entry Specialist

Job Description

• Project team to support data migration the team transitions from NextGen to EPIC EMR.
• Will receive raw data file of patient data (all EHR information) from teams history of patients and enter that into EPIC, starting with April appointments and moving onward.
• Expected to index roughly 20 records per hour.
• Immediate focus is on April to July appointments - 6700 patients scheduled, each averaging 8-10 medical records. Each patient needs to have all data transferred to EPIC prior to their appointment.
• Reviewing any orders for specialty procedures from NextGen data and selecting the right place in EPIC to house the records.
• Requires following a very specific EPIC format to ensure orders pull correctly in new system. High attention to detail and basic knowledge of what a complete order looks like to know what info needs to be extracted and put into EPIC.
• 1st 2 days will be EPIC training to get certification and access.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months healthcare industry experience- basic knowledge of medical terminology, what an EMR is and why the data matter
• Minimum 1 year data entry experience
• Proven ability to work fully remote with strong attendance and performance (validate with recent professional reference)
• Medical records indexing in EPIC
