Position Title : Adjunct Faculty, Biology

Reports to : Chair of Biological and Chemical Sciences

Position Summary :

The Biological and Chemical Sciences department at Manhattan University offers personalized learning experience with small class sizes with dedicated faculty who are committed to teaching. The department emphasizes hands-on learning in the labs and offers all students the opportunity to do one-on-one research with a faculty member. Students are able to pursue their passions, prepare for graduate school and most importantly make a difference in the world.

The Biology Department seeks part-time, adjunct faculty to teach in-person lecture or laboratory classes for general / introductory biology courses for majors and / or non-majors. Faculty are expected to deliver high-quality, engaging instruction that supports student success in foundational biological sciences.

Responsibilities :

• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching biology lecture and / or lab courses, based on need.
• Deliver engaging and informative biology lectures.
• Conduct laboratory sessions to supplement theoretical coursework.
• Prepare course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
• Provide timely feedback on student progress and assignments.
