  • Assignment Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Location : Springfield, IL 62781 (Illinois travel nursing jobs)\n
  • Facility : Acute Care Hospital, Level I Trauma Center\n
  • Shift : 4x10-hour day shifts (06 : 45 - 17 : 15)\n
  • Hours per Week : 40\n
  • Weekend Requirement : 1 weekend shift per month\n
  • On-Call : Yes, approximately 1 per week\n
  • Start Date : January 12, 2026\n
  • End Date : April 13, 2026\n
  • Scrub Color : Provided\n
  • Charting System : Cerner\n
  • Parking : Free with permit\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary : $2280 - $2450\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (Level I trauma experience required)\n
  • Active Illinois RN license (or in application process)\n
  • BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only)\n
  • CNOR certification preferred\n
  • General OR and trauma nursing experience required\n
  • Experience with Cerner charting system preferred\n
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (travel nurse requirement)\n
  • Previous travel nursing experience required\n
  • Ability to float within skill set as needed\n

    • \n\nOR RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Circulate and / or scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures (excluding cardiovascular)\n
  • Deliver care for trauma, general surgery, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, urology, and emergency management cases\n
  • Demonstrate proficiency in laparoscopic procedures, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple, cervical / lumbar fusion, craniotomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, free flap microvascular, organ donation, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, amputations, and trauma cases (gunshot / stab wounds, MVAs)\n
  • Operate specialized equipment : electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana tables\n
  • Maintain strict infection control, radiation safety, specimen handling / labeling, and universal protocol procedures\n
  • Participate in code response and emergency management as needed\n
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
  • Float to other units within skill set as required\n
