The Principal Content Developer Specialist is responsible for the identification, evaluation, development and acquisition of new business opportunities and intellectual content for SAE Events. The position will also be responsible for shaping and refreshing the intellectual property and technical content for new and existing programs, products, and services that ensures continued value to the customer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Develop thorough, in-depth, fact-based business plans for new and current events, programs, and services for assigned technologies. This includes the development and acquisition of event / program content.
• Developing and managing volunteer committees used to develop and acquire event content.
• Serve as global market and technical experts (consultants) for assigned technologies and industries. This may require input or advice from volunteer network.
• Develop and maintain relationships and / or partnerships with key global organizations, industry leaders, committees, and subject matter experts.
• Benchmark, evaluate, and assess the product life cycles of the business unit portfolio for placement, improvements, sun setting, and new products or services. This includes conducting competitive analysis that leads towards product improvement and product placement recommendations.
• Advise on content acquisition and event development strategy for assigned technology areas.
