Travel Nursing Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Contract – Oncology RN

Location : Greensboro, NC 27403 (North Carolina nursing jobs)

Unit : Inpatient Oncology / Medical Surgical Oncology

Shift : Night Shift (3x12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1820 - $1870

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 12 / 2 / 2025 – End : 3 / 3 / 2026)

Patient Ratios : 1 : 4-6

Rotating weekends and holidays required

Floating : Required between all campuses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical Oncology RN experience

Previous travel nursing experience required (no first-time travelers)

Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license (RN license in hand)

BLS certification (American Heart Association)

EPIC charting experience

Telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills

Experience with PCA pumps

Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed)

COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)

Compliance file complete by Wednesday prior to start date

Education verified through third party (no flagged schools)

Background check with no open cases

Flexible scheduling and ability to float as needed

No local candidates within 50 miles

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology, sickle cell, and med-surg patients (adults and geriatrics)

Manage a patient load of 4-6 per shift

Monitor and interpret telemetry, administer medications, and manage PCA pumps

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)

Document patient care accurately in EPIC EMR

Float to other units / campuses as needed

Participate in orientation and complete required modules (2-4 hours)

Maintain compliance with facility policies, including attendance and punctuality
