[job_card.job_description]Provide exceptional patient and client care by ensuring an efficient exam room workflow. Maintain accurate, detailed medical records. Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients, answering questions with empathy and clarity. Support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient care and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care. Compensation : $27-32 per hour, for each hour worked Bonus package : $2000 CE allowance : up to $1,000 annually based on tenure Health package : Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program 401k options PTO accrual starting at 80 hours annually + 6 paid holidays Generous personal pet discounts 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of VA Proficiency in the following skills : Skilled in injections, microscopic evaluation, sample collection, radiology, venipuncture, and gentle animal handling and restraint . While initially our surgical schedule will be limited, the ideal candidate will have proficiency in anesthesia induction and maintenance, surgical set-up, and assisting in surgery . Proficient in supporting veterinarians during exams and outpatient procedures. Excellent client communication , with the ability to explain treatment plans, client demonstrations, and discharge instructions clearly and empathetically.
