Patent Assistant

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a Patent Assistant for its Silicon Valley, California office. The Patent Assistant will support members of the Intellectual Property Practice Group focused on patent prosecution and is responsible for assisting legal practice assistants in supporting attorneys and patent agents.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Coordinate declarations, and maintain files.
• Check status of reminders in worksite document management system and reminders for reporting office actions.
• Communicate with clients regarding status of U.S. assignment documents and U.S. Declarations.
• Handle assignment recordation.
• Pay issue fees.
• Train and review the work of other team members as necessary.
• Track the status of patent applications.
• Proofread all work, including reading documents for content and context.
• Prepare, maintain, scan, and close files.
• Assist with special projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS :

Compensation : The estimated salary range for this role in Silicon Valley, California is $55,000-$62,000. Starting salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
