Role Overview

Pipe Yard workers must be able to handle the physical demands of a fast-paced environment while achieving results and maintaining safe operations. Assists in transfers of pipe products to storage locations and inspection facilities. Responsible for the storage, retrieval, processing, and accuracy of product. Responsible for successful adherence to the productivity program of the Pipe Yard.

Responsibilities

• Receive pipes from delivery drivers and carefully place them within our yard in an appropriate and safe lay-down area.
• Assist Pipe Yard Operator by guiding tubular pipe for racking, staging, and delivery.
• Report any overage, shortages, and damages from delivery to the appropriate agents or supervisors
• Proficient use of scanners and the warehouse management system to input data and update the system as to the received inventory's status. Responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy through process development and management.
• Daily maintenance of pipe yard.
• Keep control over the material(s) for different jobs (separate & stage).
• Coordinates and monitors operations within the department to ensure performance production rates are consistent with a business plan, reducing irregularities and misdirects.
• Follows safety protocols and procedures to ensure the safety of themselves and coworkers.
• Performs additional duties as required and assigned.
