Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Perimeter in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining highly visible to help deter potential security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, interact professionally with the public, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual or suspicious behavior and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  • Interact professionally with the public and / or staff while upholding Allied Universal standards.
  • Handle and carry a firearm in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal policies.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
