divh2Full Time Order Selectors / h2pWhole Foods Market is seeking full time order selectors for our distribution center in Austin, TX. This is a perishable distribution center with floral, meat, and produce products. Temperatures range from 10 (freezer) to 46 degrees (including a banana and avocado ripening room!). Base pay : see bottom of page for wage range. Incentives : $200 8 week training completion bonus! $1000 milestone bonus! $500 @ 6 and 12 months $1,100 a month potential based on productivity and accuracy. / ppShift : 11 : 30 AM shift start time, will work to completion, and have a rotating 4-day / 10-hour workweeks including weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change (provided 3 weeks in advance). / ph3Job Requirements and Basic Qualifications : / h3pUse voice-based order system to select and palletize store orders. / ppManually stacking product onto pallets, wrapping, and preparing product for shipment. / ppRespect all Good Organics compliances when stacking product. / ppOperating an electric / motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double). / ppAssist in cleaning the warehouse, maintaining a safe working environment. / ppComply with all applicable health and safety codes. / ppCommunicate and maintain employee safety and security standards. / ppArrive to work on time, wear appropriate PPE, work all scheduled shifts, complete required trainings and attend required meetings. / ppAbility to read and speak basic English. / ppPerform other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Associate Team Leader, Facility Leadership. / ph3Skills / Requirements and Professional Knowledge : / h3pExperience working with an electric / motorized ride on standing pallet jack (either single or double). / ppExperience with voice systems a plus. / ppTeam-player with positive attitude. / ppStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. / ppAble to work well with others, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with little supervision. / ph3Working Conditions and Physical Requirements : / h3pAbility to stand or walk at least 10 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach with or without reasonable accommodation. / ppMust be able to lift 50 lbs, occasionally lift up to 70 lbs (team lift suggested for weights in excess of 70 lbs). / ppWork in a cold / wet storage facility environment (ranging from -10 (freezer) to 55 degrees Fahrenheit). General warehouse temps 34-46 degrees, Freezer -10 degrees. / ppRegularly getting on and off powered equipment, stepping on and off throughout shift. / ppHand use : single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. / ppAbility to use tools and equipment, including safety box cutters, electric pallet jacks and voice equipment. / ppMust adhere to company dress code and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). / ppAvailability Requirements : / ppAverage shifts are 8-10 hours long. / ppAbility to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. / ppThe wage range for this position is $17.00-$28.90 hourly, commensurate with experience.
