Patient Services Representative / Scheduler (Bilingual Preferred English & Spanish)

Austin Surgeons is seeking a dedicated Patient Services Representative / Scheduler who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish .

Position Overview :

The PSR / Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments and entering accurate demographic and financial information into the practice database. This role works closely with the business office to verify insurance coverage and communicate patient payment responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

• Provide outstanding customer service while assisting patients in person and over the phone
• Schedule and confirm appointments accurately and efficiently
• Enter and maintain patient demographic and insurance information in the practice system
• Verify insurance coverage and communicate patient financial responsibilities
• Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth workflow
• Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications :

• Bilingual (English & Spanish) verbal, written, and reading fluency preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures helpful
• Experience with insurance verification preferred
• Familiarity with Practice Management / EMR systems
• Previous medical office or scheduling experience a plus
